Cambium’s supply chain is a complex system with many intricate components that are challenging to capture. The company rescues trees from landfills, creates local manufacturing jobs, replants forests, enhances public health, and mitigates climate change. Our task was to visualize this supply chain and guide visitors through Cambium’s world using digital storytelling.
The result is a compelling digital journey that visualizes Cambium’s supply chain, guiding visitors through each step. It highlights the company’s environmental impact, introduces the world’s most sustainable wood—Carbon Smart Wood™, and encourages people to join the battle against climate change.
Cambium focuses on urban environments, saving wood from landfills and transforming it into a beautiful, carbon-negative material called Carbon Smart Wood™. To illustrate this process, we created a 3D cityscape that allows visitors to explore each step on their own.
Visitors can explore the 3D city at their own pace, creating an interactive and engaging experience. This approach simplifies the understanding of each step in the supply chain, and effectively illustrates the entire process in a memorable way.
Cambium is a movement for change, needing followers to drive impact. Featuring the founder’s story on the website would connect visitors personally to the brand, reflecting the founder’s commitment to sustainability. This narrative builds trust, encourages interaction, and highlights Cambium’s role in the fight against climate change, resonating with environmentally aware consumers and partners.
We implemented sustainability-first design principles to create a brand identity that aligns with Cambium’s environmental values. A warm, earthy color palette and a typeface reminiscent of traditional woodworking accentuate the brand’s craftsmanship and sustainability efforts, appealing to eco-conscious audiences.
We partnered with Cambium to define the photography direction for the brand, incorporating crème skies, vibrant pops of orange, and earthy tones to ground the visuals in nature. Through a lifestyle-focused approach, we captured genuine human moments that invite viewers into the brand’s story and evoke a deep emotional connection.
